GOP controls everything
American ignorance and Russian President Putin have spoken!
They have complete control of the federal government and the state of Pennsylvania! All three branches of the federal government, executive, legislative and judiciary, are now in the hands of the Republican Party to do what the wolves of Wall Street and Russian President Putin want them to do – privatize Social Security, eliminate Medicare, repeal the ACA, and eliminate black lung benefits/ Donald Trump, a pathological liar and self-proclaimed committer of sexual assaults, who refuses to believe anything the CIA or FBI tells him about his Russian friends, will lead the way.
We can all sleep well tonight knowing that the wolves that make up the top 2 percent and own 90 percent of the wealth are now being appointed by your newly-elected leader to take complete control of the hen house. Can it get any better than that?
Locally in Fayette County, two county commissioners and four out of five state legislators are firmly under the control of and answer to the Republican Party. Statewide, Republicans hold a veto proof majority in the state Senate and state House. There is nothing Gov. Tom Wolf can do about anything. The Republican legislators will do what big business wants them to do. Wolf may try to veto some legislation, but with a Republican super majority, we the middle class taxpayers, have no protection. Wolf did not sign the latest budget because of its devastating impact on the middle class and give always to the top 2 percent.
Effective Dec. 19, 2016, just in time for the holidays, the first installment on Making America Great in Pennsylvania comes to the middle class in the form of an increase in natural gas rates. Homeowners will see a 7.34 percent increase in their home heating gas rates. Everyone will get to pay an additional nine cents per gallon tax on gasoline and our car registration will increase by $1 How is that for Making America Great? With the Republican Party in control, there is nothing the top 2 percent won’t do.
As a reward for their hard work on behalf of the gas and oil industry, our Republican legislators managed to squeeze in a well-deserved pay increase for themselves.
I hope you did not forget to send your legislator a Christmas card and thank you note for their hard work helping to make Pennsylvania and America great!
