Sen. Toomey is out of touch
Every school district in the country will do a background check on every person considered for employment. These checks are to protect our children from predators and people that engage in unlawful practices. These checks are done in every school district in this country.
With thousands of federal, state, county, city and municipal background check regulations on the books across the country, U.S. Sen. Pat Toomey, R-Pa., has introduced legislation for mandatory background checks.
At first I believed Sen. Toomey must have been in a coma to not know there are thousands of background checks done each year across the country to protect our children from predators and other lawbreakers in our schools.
I was wrong. Sen. Toomey was not in a coma. He just did not know. Sen. Toomey and his circle of friends do not live in the same world middle-class Americans live in. It must be nice to send your kids to private school where security is not a problem to consider.
Sen. Toomey and his Wall Street friends decided to make all schools safe from predators with background checks just like they do in private schools. It shows us just how out of touch Sen. Toomey, is with working America.
