Country must come together

2 min read

It seems when election time comes around, family and friends begin to disagree and sometimes get angry with each other over political issues and beliefs. But after the elections are over, we go back to normal.

This is what makes our country great because the Constitution gives all of its citizens the right to choose and express their opinions and beliefs.

The elections are over, and some people are going to express feelings of disappointment and anger. Some are going to express feelings of joy because of the need for change. We all have the right to feel the way we do.

Our country is in desperate need for all of us to join in unity. It is time for us to put party commitments and personal feelings aside and come together as “one united people” and start paying attention to what is going on in our government.

Our country was founded on our trust and faith in God. That belief made us a strong nation. I have a lot of friends who say, “Pray and put your trust in God.” What a beautiful thing to do; prayer works miracles.

I think God wants us to do our part too. Don’t let anyone take God out of our lives; stand up for Him. Our children and their children are depending on us.

We have to accept the results, good or bad. The most important thing that matters is that we join together as a united people, pray for God’s help, get more involved in our government affairs and take an active part in making our country great again.
