Dowling trying to make Fayette great again
Throughout my life here in Fayette County, I’ve watched our once great and thriving home slowly decline, causing jobs to become scarce, friends to move away, and too many individuals to lose their lives to the terrible drug epidemic.
In a region with so much potential, it’s hard to believe that politicians could screw things up this badly, but they have. That’s why before this election, I’ve found myself always voting against things but not for anyone. Having said that, I truly believe I have found someone I can actually vote for. In his radio ads, Matthew Dowling refers to himself as a businessman, but he’s a lot more than that.
Matthew Dowling is a successful non-profit executive, small business owner, and community activist who was recognized by the Fayette Chamber of Commerce as its most influential young citizen. An active, influential leader in both Rotary International and the Boy Scouts of America, Matthew has spent most of his adult life trying to bring positive change to our community. That’s why he and his wife, Rebecca founded the Dowling Family Advised Fund, which raises money for non-profit organizations including the Rotary Foundation through an annual, local holiday benefit called “Share the Spirit.”
When so many others saw the problems we faced here in Fayette County and accepted them as reality, I have watched Matthew Dowling and his family do everything in their power to make our home great again. I look forward to voting for someone in this year’s election.
