The Beer Hall Putsch
November 8-9, 1923 in Munich, Germany, a madman riles up a crowd to bring a change in the existing political climate; the attempt eventually turned violent, and as an eyewitness to the event reported: “l cannot remember in my entire life such a change in the attitude of a crowd in a few minutes (during the speech) … the madman had turned them inside out, as one turns a glove inside out, with a few sentences …”
Another event that didn’t turn violent and whose purpose was not to overthrow a democratic government occurred at a rally in Huntington, West Virginia, on Thursday, Aug. 3, of this year. A raucous and agitated crowd cheered a madman who didn’t lay out his plan for governing, but rehashed old campaign themes and gripes, who lied about his accomplishments to date, and who blamed Democrats for the Russian probe.
The first madman went to prison for nine months; the second, Trump, still walks up and down of the face of the earth.
Consider just three of many incidents involving this second nutcase:
1. He must have forgotten that the speech he gave to the scouts at the jamboree in West Virginia on July 24 was geared for 40,000 gullible Trump supporters, not young scouts. The national office of the BSA issued a statement that they do not promote any one political position, scouts honor!
2. On July 28 at a New York police gathering, Trump advocated police violence when handling suspects. Surprisingly some of the police applauded this idiot! The New York City Police department and departments around the country were outraged; all said “We do not tolerate ‘roughing up’ prisoners.” What a disgusting speech!
3. Earlier in this year, the madman thought he was talking to subordinates when he telephoned the heads-of-state of Mexico and Australia. Totally uncalled for; Enrique Nieto and Malcolm Turnbull should have burst out laughing or ended the telephone call!
I have a number of solutions as to how to handle this reckless, self-centered moron: either lock him up or send him to his idol in Russia, Putin, or banish him to one of his golf courses for the rest of his life!
