Will the real Donald Trump standup?
As I suspect we will be saying a great deal over the next four years, I ask, will the real Donald Trump please stand up?
During his despicable and vile campaign for the presidency, he led members of his mobs in chants of “Lock her (Secretary Hillary Clinton) up!” After winning in the Electoral College, he stated in a stunning “60 Minutes” interview that he does not intend to prioritize prosecution of Hillary Clinton, that she has suffered a great deal, and that she and her husband are “good people”.
In the week preceding his inauguration, after Secretary Clinton had graciously and generously announced that she and her husband would attend the event, he publicly proclaimed her “guilty as hell”.
In a story that was not widely reported, the post-inauguration luncheon included Mr. Trump stating that he is “very, very honored” that the Clintons attended the event and that he has great respect for both of them. He led a standing ovation for Secretary Clinton, no doubt inflicting heartburn on the many Clinton haters within his ranks.
Which is the real Donald Trump? Perhaps not even he knows.
