Award is fitting tribute to Magerko

1 min read

Recently, your newspaper printed an article denoting the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council selection of Maggie Hardy Magerko as one of 25 Women of Distinction. Needless to say, this prestigious award is fitting tribute to a talented woman.

Maggie Hardy Magerko, daughter of Joe Hardy, serves as president of 84 Lumber which is highly successful in the lumber business and is also the owner of the luxurious 2,000 acre playground, located in Pennsylvania’s Laurel Highlands. Situated in this resort is the crown jewel – the exquisite Chateau LaFayette Hotel.

Maggie Magerko’s exceptional business achievements are quite obvious as reflected in her notable national awards; however, like her father, she is quite generous and she has donated significant monetary gifts as well as notable amounts of materials and supplies to needy persons and organizations.

In Maggie’s case, the apple did not fall far from the tree.
