Another major WWE injury

Wrestling fans are fully aware that the WrestleMania card was shuffled several times due to the injury bug that invaded the WWE locker room.

It looks like the bug has yet to leave.

On a show Wednesday in Italy, Bray Wyatt suffered a leg injury in a match against WWE champion Roman Reigns.

The injury is believed to be a calf injury, but the exact injury has not been announced as of yet.

The injury was confirmed at wwe.com and Wyatt was pulled off of the rest of the tour.

More Mania records

At WrestleMania, the WWE announced the crowd at 101,763 fans which is a new record, but that isn’t the only new standard for the company.

The WWE grossed $17.3 million at the event which blew away the old record set at Mania 31.

Also, the WWE generated a record-breaking $4.55 million in merchandise revenue at Mania, up from the record of $3.35 million set last year.

WWE Network numbers are up

The day after WrestleMania, the WWE released its updated subscription numbers for the WWE Network and the company has to be happy.

Currently, there are 1.824 million subscribers to the network, with 1.454 million being paid subscribers and 370,000 currently using a free month trial.

The numbers would be even higher, but the WWE is letting shared accounts slide.

I know of several situations where WWE Network account holders are sharing their username and password with friends.

If the WWE set the accounts to where they could only be used on one IP address, it would cut down on account sharing.

Shaq wrestling at Mania 33?

Shaquille O’Neil took part in the third annual Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal and in an interview later in the week, he said he wants to face the Big Show next year at WrestleMania 33.

WWE Hall of Famers blast Mania

A pair of WWE Hall of Famers are up to their old ways when it comes to the WWE.

It seems that as soon as Bret Hart has the need to feed his ego and remind himself of how great he was (in his eyes) and as soon as “Superstar” Billy Graham is on the outs with the WWE, both spout off about the company.

Reports broke earlier this week about Hart going off on a podcast.

Hart vented about Mania being full of part-time wrestlers in the main event matches, among other things.

I guess Hart has forgotten about his match against Vince McMahon at Mania XXVI and his U.S. title win three weeks later when he made a few part-time appearances.

Take it with a grain of salt though when Hart complains about something because heaven forbid someone do something more productive than what he did.

Hart will talk all day about how great the WWE was when he was the man, but look at the financial numbers and they will tell you anything but.

A true legend, Hart often times come across as bitter when he speaks.

Graham vented on his Facebook page about Shane McMahon.

“I give (him) zero credit for jumping off of the top of the cage…only fools put their life on the line,” Graham wrote.

This, coming from a guy who put his life in jeopardy by being a heavy steroid user during his career.

This weekĢƵ questions

How does WWE management find guys for NXT? Do they have a scouting department? Biddy, West Brownsville.

Most wrestlers send in copies of their work to get onto the WWEĢƵ map.

The WWE does have scouts in different areas and if these scouts give a good report on someone, the WWE will take a closer look.

Why is everyone hating on Roman Reigns)? Christine, Monessen.

I think the reason is because Vince McMahon has tried to shove him down everyoneĢƵ throats for more than two years now.

He is currently en route to a villain role and I loved his promo on Raw the night after Mani when he said, “I’m not a good guy, I’m not a bad guy, I am the guy.”
