WWE Brand Split takes place Tuesday
There are two huge stories this week, so letĢƵ get moving.
How will WWE Draft shake out?
The WWE Brand Split will officially take place Tuesday night on the first live Smackdown, and as a good sign for the WWE, the wrestling world is talking.
In fact, there are so many questions about how the WWE will handle things that Monday and Tuesday may be the most must-see consecutive days in the WWE since WrestleMania and Raw the next night.
But before we get to Tuesday, something major has to happen Monday on Raw to draw the fans in for Tuesday.
Will Dean Ambrose lose the WWE title to Seth Rollins on Raw?
Will controversy mar the end of the match causing to the official creation of a second world title?
The more I think about it, there has to be two separate titles as both of the brands will be touring on the house show loop and these events need a heavyweight champion.
Will the WWE break up groups and tag teams?
It would be silly for the WWE to break up The New Day, Wyatt Family, or The Club, so I see each respective group sticking together.
However, could the WWE break up some tag teams?
I don’t see newer teams like Enzo and Cass or The VaudeVillains splitting up, but I could see the WWE breaking up more established teams like the Dudleys or even the Usos.
Both teams have done all they can do as a team, so a singles run may be beneficial.
I am not predicting it to happen, but I would not be surprised.
Word has broken from a very reputable source that Daniel Bryan will be Shane McMahonĢƵ choice to run Smackdown.
In an interview earlier this week, Bryan mentioned that he would love to see the Cruiserweight title to be brought back, so could he be foreshadowing?
While Bryan being brought to TV could not be confirmed, don’t be surprised if you see him.
Who else could be hired as GMĢƵ?
Several names have been thrown out there like Triple H and Steve Austin, but hopefully the Raw GM ends up being someone fresh.
Lesnar failed drug test?
Word broke Friday that the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) informed Brock Lesnar of a potential doping violation on a drug test administered on June 28.
Again, the key word is potential, and whether or not Lesnar is cleared or not, this is a major blow to the publicity that the WWE gained from LesnarĢƵ domination of Mark Hunt last week at UFC 200.
The WWE released a statement immediately stating that, “Brock Lesnar has not performed for WWE since WrestleMania and is not scheduled to return until Sunday, August 21.”
Even if Lesnar is cleared, speculation will follow him and that is not good for the WWE, especially when you consider the recent Wellness Policy suspension of Roman Reigns. More on this huge story next week.
CWC debut
The WWE online special featuring cruiserweights, the Cruiserweight Classic (CWC), debuted Wednesday after NXT on the WWE Network.

Cena solid as ESPY host
John Cena did a good job as the host of the ESPYĢƵ Wednesday night.
In his opening monologue, he made fun of himself and countless others.
The crowd was a bit slow to warm up to him, but after a few minutes, it was smooth sailing for the face of the WWE.
Big Show v. Shaq rumor heating up again
Speaking of the ESPYs, a video surfaced of the Big Show challenging Shaq to a match for WrestleMania 33.
The WWE tweeted out the video and it can be found on its Twitter page.
Bob Backland headed to Uniontown
Bob Backland, a former two-time WWE champion and a current on-air personality, will be signing copies of his book on Saturday, July 30, at BradleyĢƵ Book Outlet inside of Uniontown Mall.
More information will follow in the upcoming weeks.
Raw in Pittsburgh next Monday
The first Monday Night Raw after the brand split will take place at CONSOL Energy Center.
I will be backstage, as I will the night before at Battleground in Washington D.C., so check my Twitter feed for live news as the shows take place.
Tickets were still available as of yesterday afternoon.
Wrestling Mt. Rushmore returns next week
Due to the breaking news of the potential Lesnar drug test, space was extremely limited and we will return to the Mt. Rushmore columns next week.
