Trojans shut out Elizabeth Forward, 27-0
First place in the Big East Conference was on the line Friday night when North Catholic traveled to Elizabeth Forward, and the Trojans returned home with a share of the lead after shutting out the Warriors, 27-0.
North Catholic, Elizabeth Forward and Derry are tied for first place at 4-1. The Trojans improve to 6-1 overall, while the Warriors go to 5-1.
After a scoreless first quarter, Zack Rocco scored the only points of the second quarter on a 5-yard run for a 6-0 halftime lead.
The Trojans scored 15 points in the third quarter on a pair of Rocco touchdown passes of 20 and 19 yards to Tyree Brown.
Rocco then closed the scoring on a 57-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter.
