Flack scores 8 TDs in Derry’s 63-20 victory
Justin Flack scored eight touchdowns Friday night to lead Derry to a 63-20 victory over visiting Yough in Big East Conference play.
The Trojans maintain a share of first place with the victory, improving to 5-1 in the conference and 6-1 overall. The Cougars go to 3-3 in the conference and 3-5 overall.
Flack scored on runs of 27, 11, 46, 9, 2 and 48 yards. He also scored touchdowns on an 88-yard kickoff return and a 60-yard interception return. He gained 159 yards rushing on 11 carries.
Hunter Hebanthal scored on a 46-yard run in the first quarter for the Trojans and the defense scored a safety in the fourth quarter.
Onreey Stewart also topped 100 yards rushing for Derry with 124 on 16 carries.
Dustin Shoaf had another big game for the Cougars with 289 yards rushing on 25 carries, two receptions for 27 yards, and scoring runs of 67, 65 and 92 yards.
Yough’s Jake Sever completed 6-of-12 passes for 37 yards.
