Triple H, Steph McMahon make big donation
The announcement that Triple H and Stephanie McMahon donated $1 million to UPMC ChildrenĢƵ Hospital in Pittsburgh to help establish a family-centered MIBG Therapy Suite was released Thursday.
MIBG, which is short for Metaiodobenzylguanidine, is a compound that can be combined with radioactive iodine to deliver targeted radiation therapy and can be used to treat high-risk neuroblastoma, a cancerous tumor that begins in nerve tissue of infants and very young children.
The Therapy Suite will provide a lead-lined room that can help the safety of patients, family and staff while the therapy is being given and will provide a destination for those locally so they do not have to travel farther distances to undergo the MIBG therapy.
The move is a wonderful gesture by the couple and it will help countless families.
For those of us who have had young relatives receive cancer treatment at ChildrenĢƵ, it hits very close to home and their donation is appreciated.
Kingston out against Bryan?
After Kofi Kingston won a gauntlet match on Smackdown live to earn a WWE championship match against Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania, Vince McMahon made Kingston face Bryan. He lost and is now out as BryanĢƵ challenger at Mania, at least for now.
Kingston will face Bryan, one way or another, and it will be interesting to see if WWE makes the call to put the belt on Kingston.
Angle vs. Corbin?
WWE has announced that Kurt AngleĢƵ retirement match will be against Baron Corbin at Mania.
However, there is talk backstage that this will not be the case.
Could John Cena be the choice? More on this below.
Mania build lackluster?
Several readers have reached out over the last few days and said that it does not feel like WrestleMania season to them.
Whether it is because of one factor or several, that seems to be the consensus from many.
Maybe the storylines aren’t grabbing the fans attention, overexposed performers aren’t getting the expected reactions or any other reason for that matter, the “special” feeling that usually hovers this time of the year does not seem to be there.
Two sign WWE extensions
It was announced this past week that AJ Styles and Sin Cara have signed contract extensions with WWE.
DJZ signs with WWE
A wrestler with local ties has signed with WWE. DJZ, known early in his career as Shiima Zion and Zema Ion, has signed with WWE and will report to NXT by the end of May.

On This Day …
In 1991, WrestleMania VII takes place. It was the first Mania match for The Undertaker, as he defeated Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka.
The best match on the card saw The Ultimate Warrior defeat Randy “Macho Man” Savage in a retirement match.
This weekĢƵ question
WrestleMania is two weeks away and neither John Cena or The Undertaker have a match. Are they facing each other again or will either even wrestle on the card? Fred, Grindstone.
As mentioned earlier, I have the feeling that Cena will face Angle and it brings their careers full-circle. CenaĢƵ first televised WWE match was against Angle and it would be fitting for AngleĢƵ last match to be against Cena.
As far as a Cena and Taker rematch, it is always possible but not expected. Taker is not scheduled for a Mania match as of right now, but he will wrestle on the show in Saudi Arabia in May.
