Warriors shut out Mount Pleasant, 24-0
Elizabeth Forward defeated visiting Mount Pleasant, 24-0, Friday night for a key Big East Conference victory.
The Warriors improve to 4-2 in the conference and 5-2 overall. The Vikings slip to 2-4 in the conference and 3-5 overall.
Nico Mrvos contributed on two for Elizabeth Forward’s touchdowns on an 8-yard fumble recovery and 7-yard touchdown pass to Chase Whatton.聽
Kyle Flournoy scored on an 18-yard run and Andrew Smith kicked a 26-yard field goal late in the first half.
Mrvos carried the ball 13 times for 80 yards and completed five passes for 69 yards. Whatton caught four passes for 48 yards.
