Raiders fall in shootout with Burrell, 58-34

Burrell posted 36 points in the second half Friday night to pull away from Waynesburg Central and return home with a 58-34 non-conference victory.

Alex Arledge had a monster game for the Bucs (6-3) with 418 yards passing on 25-of-37 attempts. He had touchdown passes of 61, 40, 75 and 47 yards.

Waynesburg (2-7) led 21-16 in the second quarter on the strength of Trent Stephenson’s scoring runs of 2 and 68 yards, and Darnell Johnson’s two-yard plunge into the end zone.

Johnson also had two-yard touchdowns runs in each the third and fourth quarters.

Stevenson led all rushers with 181 yards on 25 carries. Johnson finished with 136 yards on the ground on 15 carries.
