Leopards shut down Ambridge, 57-0

Larry Callaway scored three touchdowns and the Leopards defense limited the Bridgers to only 35 yards of total offense Friday night as Belle Vernon opened the season with a 57-0 non-conference road victory at Ambridge.

Callaway scored on runs of 4, 15 and 4 yards, and finished with 66 yards rushing on seven carries.

Devin Whitlock, who transferred from Monessen, scored on a 9-yard run and finished with a team-high 79 yards rushing on six carries.

Jared Hartman had three touchdown passes for the Leopards, tosses of one and 13 yards to Hunter Ruokonen and a 7-yarder to Nolan Labuda. He completed 9-of-15 passes for 103 yards and one interception.

Ruokonen caught five passes for 61 yards, while Labuda had four receptions for 55 yards.
