Ringgold pulls away late to beat Lady Cougars
Nya Adams scored 11 points as Ringgold toppled host Yough, 45-35, in a Section 3-AAAA girls basketball game Thursday night.
It was the season finale for both teams.
The Lady Rams (4-10, 9-13) led 15-8 after the first quarter but the Lady Cougars (0-14, 3-19) closed to within 33-31 through three. Ringgold outscored the hosts 12-4 in the final frame to secure the victory.
Laney Gerdich led Yough with a game-high 19 points.
