Landan Carns completed eight of 17 passes for 138 yards and a touchdown as Latrobe pulled away with 26 points in the second half for a 35-7 non-conference win over visiting Mount Pleasant Friday night.

Carns tossed a 64-yard touchdown pass to Tucker Knupp in the first quarter and John McHenry booted a 24-yard field goal to give the Wildcats a 9-0 halftime lead. Knupp finished with four receptions for 106 yards.

Dylan Gustafson’s eight-yard TD run put Latrobe up 15-0 in the third quarter.

The Vikings answered with ta 68-yard touchdown pass by Asher O’Connor to Aaron Alakson with Robbie Labuda’s extra point making it 15-7 with 2:11 left in the quarter.

Latrobe came right back with a 16-yard touchdown run by Kyle Brewer to take a 21-7 advantage into the fourth quarter. The Wildcats tacked on TD runs by Gustafson and Bobby Fetter to close out the scoring.
