Dynamos shut down West Greene, 28-0
Chris Savko ran for one touchdown and returned an interception for another Friday night to lead Springdale to a 28-0 victory at West Greene in the first round of the WPIAL Class A football playoffs.
Springdale (7-4) advances to play Rochester in the quarterfinals. The Rams (8-2) defeated Mapletown, 35-0.
Savko scored on a 3-yard run in the fourth quarter and finished with 107 yards rushing on 13 carries. He returned an interception 85 yards for a touchdown in the second quarter.
Logan Dexter scored on a 4-yard run in the first quarter and Legend Ausk hit John Utiss for an 8-yard touchdown pass in the third quarter.
West Greene finishes the season 8-3.
