Lady Warriors’ Morgan fires 32 in season-opening win

Mya Morgan fired a 3-under 32 on the front nine of Cedarbrook’s Red course to lead Elizabeth Forward to a season-opening 174-202 non-section road victory against Belle Vernon.

Annalise Didjunas scored 42 for the Lady Warriors. Rylee Brawdy finished with 47 and Alizabeth Leezer rounded out the scoring with 53.

Victoria Scaramucci was the low golfer for the Lady Leopards with 9-over 44. Felicia Kruppa finished with 45. Ava Dudvinsai (54) and Hailey Farrah (59) closed out the scoring.

Boys golf

Greensburg C.C. 208, Mount Pleasant 222 – The Vikings’ Aydan Gross shared medalist honors with 37, but the Centurions returned home from Norvelt Golf Club with the non-section win.

Ryan Karfelt (42), Nico Pisula (40), Antonio Fleck (51), and Austyn Gross (52) rounded out the scoring for Mount Pleasant.

Greensburg C.C.’s Braden Marker shared medalist honors with a 37. Braden Riley, Brandon Plunko and Zach Faroux all shot 42.
