Cougars cruise past Rebels

The Charleroi boys golf team closed the opening week of the season on a winning note with a 216-233 road victory over Seton-La Salle in Section 8-AA action at Mt. Lebanon Golf Club.

Gage Patterson led the way for the Cougars (2-1, 2-1) with a medalist round of 2-over 37. Jake Corrin shot 40. Levi Large (42), Kaden Woods (47), and Ethan Hartley (50) also counted in the final score. Brock Henderson’s 53 did not count.

John Dolan was the low man for Seton-La Salle (1-3, 1-3) with 4-over 39. Parker Hazaga (43), Regis Manion (47), Pat Welson (56), and Jake Lestitian (48) rounded out the scoring.

Albert Gallatin 215, McKeesport 220 – The Colonials returned home from Butlers Golf Course with a Section 2-AAA victory.

Caeden Williams fired a 1-under 35 to lead the way for the Colonials (2-1, 2-1). Trent Clemmer shot 2-over 38. Hayden Metts and Geno Valenti both finished with 43. Tyler Felio closed the scoring with 56.

Brock Stephenson was the low man for the Tigers (0-2, 0-2) with 39.
