MorganÄ¢¹½ÊÓÆµ 34 leads Lady Warriors to road victory
Mya Morgan fired a 1-under 35 Friday afternoon to lead visiting Elizabeth Forward to a 179-223 road victory over Connellsville in Section 3-AAA play.
Sydney Boyd shot 44, Annalise Didjunas finished with 48, and Alizabeth Leezer closed the scoring with 53.
Katie Atz was the low golfer for the Lady Falcons with 51. Rylee Leasher (56), Abigail Humbert (57), and Isabella Nussbaumer (59) rounded out the scoring.
Belle Vernon 194, Derry 244 – The Lady Leopards posted their first win of the season with a Section 1-AA home victory at Cedarbrook Golf Course.
Vittoria Scaramucci secured medalist honors for Belle Vernon (1-3, 1-4) with 46. Felicia Kruppa shot 47, Sydney Stark carded 48, and Haley Farrah finished with 53. Ava Dudzinski’s 57 did not count.
Jaden Geary was the low golfer for the Lady Trojans with 58.
Girls soccer
Mount Pleasant 4, Kiski Area 0 – The Lady Vikings pulled away with three goals in the second half for a season-opening, non-section win.
Maddie Barrick scored the lone goal of the first half.
Morgan Gesinski netted two goals in the second half and Rylin Bugosh scored once. Laurel Rummel preserved the shutout.
