Glasser strikes out 13 in PechinÄ¢¹½ÊÓÆµ 2-0 victory
Lorenzo Glasser struck out 13 and allowed two hits Thursday night in Pechin’s 2-0 Fayette County Baseball League victory over visiting Oakland (Md.).
Glasser allowed singles to Cameron Goble in the top of the fourth inning and Alex Kennell in the seventh inning. He walked just one batter.
Pechin (4-3) was able to cobble together a pair of one-run innings.
Remington Lessman singled home the first run in the bottom of the second inning. Alex McClain had an RBI single in the third inning.
Ty Wickline went the distance in the loss for Oakland (5-3). He allowed two runs (one earned) on four hits with a walk and six strikeouts.
M&R Transit 16, Sewickley Twp. 2 – M&R Transit scored at least two runs in each inning for victory in five innings at Sewickley Twp.
M&R Transit (5-3) scored two runs in the top of the first and third innings, four in the second inning, five in the fourth inning and three in the top of the fifth inning.
Winning pitcher Justin Brestensky allowed just one hit, Zach Bender’s two-run double in the bottom of the second inning. The left-hander struck out six and walked five. He also had a pair of triples, a single and an RBI.
Santino Marra finished with three hits, including a two-run double in the fourth inning and a run-scoring double in the fifth inning, four RBI and three runs scored.
Andino Vecchiolla had two doubles, a triple, four RBI and scored two runs. Nate Zimcosky drove in two runs with a double. Braeden O’Brien and Garrett Myers doubled as eight players finished with at least one hit.
Sewickley Twp. slips to 1-7.
