Lady Scots’ Ohler places 8th in WCCA meet

Southmoreland’s Lexi Ohler earned All-County honors after she placed in the top-10 in the WCCA Cross Country Championship on Wednesday at Westmoreland C.C.C.

Ohler finished eighth in a time of 19:56.10 and was the top finisher among the small schools in Westmoreland County.

Latrobe’s Emerson Skatell finished first with a time of 18:41.10. Norwin’s Annie Czajkowski was second in 19:09.10 and Kiski Area’s Lauren Ciuca was third in 19:25.90.

Penn-Trafford’s Jake McGhee, who won the recent A.J. Everhart Invitational, finished first in the boys race in 16:14.30. Norwin’s Enzo Jiancristoforo was a close second with a time of 16:16.90 and Norwin’s Luke Simpson was third with a time of 16:19.50.

Southmoreland’s Selby Bell was 37th overall with a time of 19:17.50. Ross Street (58, 20:43.70), Joe Roadman (77, 24:51.40), and Dylan Bierhaus (80, 25:00.80) also competed for the Scotties.

Garrett Hummel was Yough’s top finisher in 59th place with a time of 20:44.70. Teammates Blake Sullivan (62, 21:24.10), Max Ludwick (69, 22:12.90), and Garret Hosey (81, 26:27.60) also ran in the county meet.
