Mancini, Walker score hat tricks in LHÄ¢¹½ÊÓÆµ 11-1 road victory

Elle Mancini and Adrianna Walker both score a hat trick to lead Laurel Highlands’ 11-1 victory at Albert Gallatin in a Section 3-AAA match.

Camryn McClean scored twice in the victory, and Brianna Marzano, Ava Ruvalcaba and Neela Hill all had one goal.

Isabelle Dehaven scored Albert Gallatin’s goal.

Belle Vernon 7, Charleroi 0 – Aurora Bastedo and Skylar Salay combined on the shutout in the Lady Leopards’ Section 1-AA road win.

Payton Welsh scored one goal in each half for Belle Vernon (4-2, 5-5). Ava Scalise, Grace West, Emma Nicklow and Sammy Mincone all scored one goal apiece in the second half.

Mount Pleasant 6, Southmoreland 1 – Laurel Rummel held visiting Southmoreland to one goal for a Section 4-AA home victory.

The Lady Vikings improve to 4-0 in the section and 6-0 overall.

Maddie Barrick and Morgan Gesinski both scored two goals in the victory. Rylin Bugosh and Camrun Kapr netted one goal apiece.

Megan Mehall scored for Southmoreland (3-1, 5-3).

Waynesburg Central 5, Brownsville 0 – Five different players scored for the Lady Raiders in the Section 2-A victory.

Rylei Rastoka, Kolbi Rastoka, Bree Clutter, Emily Rafferty and Izzy Talpas each scored one goal in the victory. Kolbi Rastoka assisted on two goals.

Goalkeeper Peyton Cowell preserved the shutout.

Bentworth 3, Beth-Center 0 – The Lady Bearcats remained undefeated with a Section 2-A home victory.

Bentworth improves to 3-0 in the section and 6-0 overall.

Brielle Dillon, Brina Orsatti and Megan Keturakis all scored one goal for the Lady Bearcats. Bella Moyer assisted on all three goals.

Upper St. Clair 9, Connellsville 0 – The Lady Falcons are still seeking their first Section 2-AAAA victory after they were shut out at home by visiting Upper St. Clair.

Upper St. Clair (2-0-2, 5-1-2) led 7-0 at halftime.

Sierra Dupre and Helena Walker scored two goals. Valentina Sobarzo, Callie Roberts, Meredith Huzjak, Helena Walker, Abigail Mascaro and Mary Mascaro all scored one goal.

Goalkeeper Sara Tinkey made 14 saves for Connellsville (0-4, 4-6).

Oakland Catholic 8, Uniontown 1 – Corinna Martella and Emma Gompers both scored two goals to lead Oakland Catholic to a Section 3-AAA win over the Lady Raiders.

Uniontown slips to 0-4 in the section and 1-5 overall.

Girls volleyball

Albert Gallatin 3, Carmichaels 2 – The Lady Colonials won the last three sets to rally for a non-section home victory.

The Lady Mikes won the first two sets, 25-12, 25-20.

Albert Gallatin won the final three sets, 25-15, 25-17, 15-13.

Albert Gallatin’s stats leaders were Mitchell Turner (3 digs, 3 kills), Gabby Delorenzo (2 aces), Mikayla Shea (2 aces, 4 kills), Leah Myers (5 digs, 5 aces, 11 kills), Mia Myers (19 assists, 4 aces, 8 kills), Kymber Hlatky Houze (2 aces, 3 kills), Mary Myers (3 digs), Mya Glisan (9 kills), and Ellie Seese (3 digs, 4 kills).

Ringgold 3, Ambridge 0 – The Lady Rams swept to victory by the scores 25-13, 25-13 and 25-6 for a non-section road win.

Mapletown 3, Bentworth 2 – The Lady Maples stormed back to win the last three sets for a non-section road win.

Bentworth grabbed the early lead by set scores 25-17 and 25-15. Mapletown (1-3) came back with set victories of 26-24, 25-17 and 15-13.

Mapletown’s Marley Shifflet (10 digs, 12 assists, 7 aces) and Leah Williamson (10 digs, 10 assists) finished with double-doubles. Treslee Weston (11 kills, 3 aces, 5 digs), Marley Seward (6 aces, 9 digs), and Miranda Fox (4 blocks, 3 kills) also contributed to the win.

Bentworth had noteworthy performances by Chelsea Dindal (9 kills), Zoie McDonald (9 aces, 15 assists), and Chelsea Dindal (21 digs).

Frazier 3, Belle Vernon 0 – The Lady Commodores cruised to a straight-sets victory in a non-section match at Belle Vernon.

Frazier (4-2) won by the scores, 25-18, 25-20, 25-22.

Frazier’s Addison Schultz finished with 15 kills and two blocks. Allie Monack had nine kills and 12 service points. Gracen Hartman finished with a team-high 24 assists. Addison Hiles had a solid defensive effort with 17 digs. Grace Vaughn had 14 service points.

Girls golf

Mount Pleasant 193, Greensburg C.C. 205 – The Lady Vikings handed Greensburg Central Catholic its first Section 1-AA loss of the season with a solid road performance at Mt. Odin Golf Course.

Morgan Miller led Mount Pleasant (8-2, 8-2) with 44. Brynlee Baluh (47), Kaylie Korpiel (46), and Ally Christner (56) rounded out the scoring.

Alayna Stawovy shot 44 for the Lady Centurions (8-1).

Girls tennis

Mount Pleasant 5, Jeannette 0 – The visiting Lady Vikings shut out the home squad for a Section 1-AA victory.

Bella Fullman, Kiersten O’Connor and Autumn Jukovic-Kuzma won their singles matches. Ryleigh Drzal and Dani Trainer won first doubles and Ella Alakson and Megan Bullock completed the sweep by taking second doubles.

Southmoreland 3, Valley 2 – The Lady Scots swept the doubles and Lexi Levandosky won at first singles for a Section 1-AA road victory.

McKenzie Thompson and Audrey Johnson won their No. 1 doubles match. Elizabeth Ray and Lily Guess were victorious at second doubles.
