Brownsville led 29-3 after the first quarter and 45-6 at halftime.

Ava Clark led the way for the Lady Falcons with a game-high 24 points. Skylar Gates finished with 18 points and Zhariah Reed added 16.

鈥淚 was pleasantly surprised,鈥� said Brownsville coach Patty Columbia. 鈥淭hey were fired up. I expected jitters.

鈥淭hey just ran through them.鈥�

Columbia liked the way her team played, but added there is room for improvement.

鈥淲e wanted to get off to a good start,鈥� said Columbia. 鈥淚 wanted to see more skip passes and more movement on offense.鈥�

Amber Sallee scored 18 points, all on 3-point shots, for Bentworth, including one each of the first two quarters for the Lady Bearcats鈥� only points.

Chartiers-Houston 49, Uniontown 23 鈥� The Lady Raiders fell behind in the first half and were unable to rally on the opening day of the Falcon Fest.

The Lady Bucs led 32-8 at halftime.

Chartiers-Houston蘑菇视频 Amelia Brose scored a game-high 17 points. Ava Capazolla added 13.

Grelece Ingram led Uniontown with 12 points.

鈥淚鈥檓 at a loss,鈥� Uniontown coach Penny Kezmarsky said of the game. 鈥淚鈥檓 concerned at both ends of the floor.

鈥淢y returners aren鈥檛 ready. Their heads have to play four quarters. Whatever five is on the floor, they have to give 100 percent.鈥�

Kezmarsky added, 鈥淚 thought we鈥檇 be better on offense.鈥�

Chartiers Valley 51, Elizabeth Forward 42 鈥� The Lady Warriors outscored Chartiers Valley in the second half, 33-19, but were unable to recover from an 18-1 deficit in the second quarter in a loss at the Keystone Oaks Tournament.

Chartiers Valley led 32-9 at halftime.

Alyssa Terza scored 12 points for Elizabeth Forward. Kaelynn Settles finished with nine.

Charleroi 54, Derry 45 鈥� Camryn Musser and Ella Sypolt both scored 16 points to lead the Lady Cougars to a win in the Major Corley Tip-Off Tournament.

Charleroi led 9-3, 16-15 and 35-31 at the quarter breaks.

Jane Huss scored 15 and Samantha Gruska added 13 for the Lady Trojans.

Monessen 41, Brashear 7 鈥� The host Lady Greyhounds held Brashear scoreless in the first half for a victory in the Major Corley Tip-Off Tournament.

Monessen led 29-0 at halftime.

Greensburg Salem 71, Ringgold 12 鈥� The Lady Rams were held to single digits in each quarter in a loss to the host team in the Greensburg Salem Tournament.

Kamryn Webb scored six points for Ringgold.

Blackhawk 72, Mount Pleasant 14 鈥� Blackhawk led 31-0 after the first quarter and 49-1 at halftime for a win in the Greensburg Salem Tournament.

Riley Gesinski scored six points for the Lady Vikings.

Alena Fusetti scored 19 points and Piper Romigh added 10 for Blackhawk.

Ligonier Valley 38, Beth-Center 33 鈥� The Lady Rams outscored the Lady Bulldogs in the second half, 28-18, to rally for a win in the Donna M. Furnier Invitational at Jefferson-Morgan.

Beth-Center led 15-10 at halftime.

Emma Shashura led Beth-Center with 14 points. Violet Trump added 11.

Waynesburg Central 54, Geibel Catholic 32 鈥� Three Lady Raiders scored in double figures for a victory in the first night of the Donna M. Furnier Invitational.

Peyton Cowell (15), Kaley Rohanna (11), and Josie Horne (10) combined for 36 points in the victory.

The Lady Gators鈥� Emma Larkin scored a game-high 24 points.

Yough 53, Valley 13 鈥� The Lady Cougars rolled to a victory in the Deer Lakes Tournament.

Yough led 20-2 after the first quarter and 39-9 at halftime.

Hailey Bock scored a game-high 16 points for Yough. Autumn Matthews added 13.

Ameria Simmons finished with five points for Valley.

Mapletown 32, Avella 30 鈥� The Lady Maples held a 9-7 advantage in the fourth quarter to eke out a win in the Avella Tip-Off Tournament.

The host team led 8-6 after the first quarter and 17-10 at halftime. Mapletown tied the game at 23 heading into the fourth quarter.

Ellis School 36, West Greene 25 鈥� The Ellis School held the scoring edge in the final three quarters for a win in the Fort Cherry Tip-Off Tournament.

Kendra Tharp scored 10 points for the Lady Pioneers. Taylor Spencer finished with 18 points for Ellis School.

Connellsville 51, Propel Montour 10 鈥� The Lady Falcons led 34-0 on their way to a non-section home win.

Our Lady of the Sacred Heart 48, Albert Gallatin 42 鈥� The Colonials held the lead in the first quarter and kept within striking distance throughout the second half in a loss to the Chargers in the Falcon Fest at Brownsville.

鈥淥LSH carries a different expectation with them,鈥� said Albert Gallatin coach Shea Fleenor. 鈥淲e鈥檙e young and inexperienced. We鈥檙e trying to feel our way.

鈥淲e just got Blake White back. We have a lot of new faces in the mix. We have to build and give ourselves a chance.鈥�

A late surge in the first quarter rallied OLSH into the lead, 16-14. The Chargers led 26-22 at halftime.

The Colonials turned up the pressure with a three-quarter press, and were able to force turnovers and limit the Chargers鈥� 3-point opportunities. However, Albert Gallatin was unable to turn many of those mistakes into points and OLSH maintained a close lead.

鈥淚 thought about (going to zone pressure) earlier, but with a short bench it would gas them,鈥� said Fleenor. 鈥淲e didn鈥檛 play aggressive on the ball enough.鈥�

The Colonials were not able to draw any closer with the Chargers managing to keep the lead throughout the final six minutes.

The pressure defense seemed to get the offense moving in the second half.

鈥淲e got real stagnant (on offense). We made it easy for (OLSH蘑菇视频 defense),鈥� said Fleenor. 鈥淲e gave away points.鈥�

Shymere Wilson led Albert Gallatin with a game-high 15 points. White scored 12.

鈥淚鈥檓 not displeased considering the level of competition. I鈥檓 disappointed we lost. We made more strides tonight. We could鈥檝e shut it down (when the Colonials fell behind),鈥� said Fleenor.

Gray Minerd scored 14 and Jake Johnson added 13 for the Chargers.

Brownsville 65, Beth-Center 46 鈥� Trenton Wible poured in a career-high 29 points as the host Falcons defeated the Bulldogs in the night cap of a four-game set at Falcon Fest.

Harlan Davis added 13 points and Cameron Phillips chipped in with 12 for Brownsville.

Jason Zellie scored 10 of his 11 points in the first quarter to help Beth-Center take a 16-15 lead but coach Rob Ramsey蘑菇视频 Falcons surged to a 31-27 halftime advantage and pulled away in the second half.

Brody Tharp led B-C with 15 points.

Thomas Jefferson 77, Elizabeth Forward 51 鈥� The Jaguars downed the Warriors on the opening day of the MVI Tournament at Charleroi.

Isaiah Turner led Elizabeth Forward with a game-high 17 points. Cy Herchelroath and Tyler Basic both scored 12 points.

Brody Evans, Noah Prosser and Evan Berger all scored 12 points for Thomas Jefferson. Nicholas Trklja added 11 points.

Ringgold 55, Charleroi 53 鈥� The Rams held on a late charge by the host team for a victory in the MVI Tournament.

Charleroi outscored Ringgold in the final quarter, 24-14, but the Rams were able to hang on for the win.

Ringgold led 14-9 after the first quarter and 27-21 at halftime. The lead grew to 41-29 after three quarters.

Daryl Tolliver and Szyair Dungee both scored 16 points for Ringgold. Kaden Grayber finished with 11 points.

Charleroi蘑菇视频 Bryce Large led the way with a game-high 21 points. Jackson Keranko added 11 points.

Derry 56, Laurel Highlands 55 鈥� The Trojans fended off the Mustangs鈥� second-half rally for a win in the Cougar Nation Tip-Off Tournament hosted by Yough.

Derry led 32-21 at halftime, but Laurel Highlands sliced the deficit to 46-40 after three quarters.

The Mustangs outscored the Trojans in the fourth quarter, 15-10, but came up short by one point.

Ethan Koffler led Laurel Highlands with 15 points. Jaden Ringer finished with 11 and Antwan Black added 10.

Nate Papuga poured in a game-high 37 points for Derry.

Yough 59, Summit Academy 26 鈥� The host team rolled to a victory on the opening night of the Cougar Nation Tip-Off Tournament.

Terek Crosby paced the Cougars with a game-high 32 points. Austin Matthews added 13.

West Allegheny 56, Jefferson-Morgan 26 鈥� The Rockets came up short in the opening round of the Fort Cherry Tip-Off Tournament.

Dayten Marion led Jefferson-Morgan with 18 points.

Brandon Bell (13), Brady Miller (10), and Tyler Blatz (10) all scored in double figures for West Allegheny.

Fort Cherry 66, Waynesburg Central 48 鈥� The host team led 33-19 at halftime on its way to a victory over the visiting Raiders.

Alex Eck finished with 13 points for Waynesburg. Jackson Dean scored 10 points.

Fort Cherry蘑菇视频 Jack Kitzmiller scored a game-high 20 points. Derek Errett (17) and Evan Ponp also scored in double figures.

McGuffey 66, Frazier 49 鈥� The host team cruised to a tip-off tournament victory against the visiting Commodores.

The Highlanders led 19-11, 36-19 and 50-35 at the quarter breaks.

Dalian McManus led Frazier with 12 points. Brock Alekson scored 11 and Trey Whitehead added 10.

Grayson Wallace scored a game-high 25 points for McGuffey. Ayden Cunningham (21) and Chris Ealy (12) also finished in double figures.

Franklin Regional 63, Connellsville 35 鈥� The Panthers pulled out to a 28-5 lead in the first quarter for a victory in the Hempfield Tip-Off Tournament.

Franklin Regional led 40-16 at halftime and 58-26 after three quarters.

Anthony Piasecki scored six points for the Falcons. Colin Masten led Franklin Regional with 15 points. Cain Rowell added 11.

Carmichaels 49, Mapletown 41 鈥� The MIkes regained the lead in the third quarter and then held off the Maples for a non-section road victory.

Carmichaels led 14-4 after the first quarter, but the home team put up 19 points in the second quarter for a 23-22 halftime lead.

The Mikes regained the lead with a 34-32 advantage heading into the final eight minutes, and secured the win with a 15-9 advantage in the fourth quarter.

Dom Colarusso led Carmichaels with 17 points. Liam Lohr and Aydan Adamson both scored 11.

Mapletown蘑菇视频 Braden McIntire scored a game-high 14 points. Jeremiah Mick added 12.
