Beth-Center and Mount Pleasant were the area’s top two boys soccer teams this past season and both schools had top representatives on the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ All-Area Boys Soccer Team.

Bulldogs sophomore Parker Amos is the H-S Player of the Year for helping his team finish the season with an 11-4-1 overall record while going 5-3 to finish second in Section 2-A and qualify for the postseason.

Amos and junior teammate Nekoda Bundy were the top scorers among local players with 22 goals apiece.

The Vikings were 13-6 overall and 12-2 in Section 4-AA, placing second and also qualifying for the playoffs under Floyd Snyder who is the H-S Coach of the Year, edging out Gary Amos of Beth-Center. Floyd had to deal with a key injury that cut short senior Aiden Johnson’s season.

The Goalkeepers of the Year are Waynesburg Central senior Dalton Taylor and Beth-Center senior Luke Amon.

Amos, Bundy, Johnson, Taylor and Amon are all members of the H-S First Team along with Connellsville sophomore Dylan Shallenberger, Albert Gallatin junior Milo Grimes, Laurel Highlands junior Cole Radcliffe, Brownsville junior Logan Chisler, Belle Vernon seniors Trevor Kovatch and Brandon Yeschenko, Mount Pleasant senior Aydan Gross, junior Damien Oher and freshman Tyke Snyder, Southmoreland senior Ethan Kenney, junior Jack Smith and sophomore Hunter Ryan, Waynesburg Central junior Brendan Cole, California senior Tristan Slavick, and Beth-Center junior Acie Lawrence and sophomore Ryder Roule.
