Mill Run trailed by a run heading into the third inning of Saturday’s game against Oakland, Md., in Fayette County Baseball League (FCBL) play before taking off in a 14-2 victory on the campus of Garrett College in McHenry, Md.

The Millers (4-7) opened the scoring in the top of the first inning when Anthony DeMarco singled, stole second and scored on Cade Warrick’s double to center field. DeMarco scored three runs.

Oakland (4-10) took a 2-1 lead in the second on Andrew Cantone’s two-run single.

Mill Run scored forums in the third and fifth innings for a 9-2 advantage. The visitors added one in the sixth and four in the seventh.

The Millers had 12 hits and Warrick, Anthony Piasecki and Teran Kemp had two apiece. Kemp, Piasecki, Jake Lee and Matthew Miller each had two RBIs. Hunter Smiley doubled and drove in a run for Mill Run.

Josh Burns and Alan Vansickle had one hit and one RBI apiece.

Bryson Krumpach doubled for Oakland.

The Millers host Youghiogheny (3-7) this evening at 6.
