Although he wasn’t able to qualify for the state tournament after a tough first round in the WPIAL Class 3A individual championship, Mocello won the Fayette County Coaches Association (FCCA) championship, earned medalist honors at the Section 2-3A qualifier and shot the low round in the WPIAL Class 3A team semifinal at Duck Hollow Golf Club in Uniontown.

Mocello carded a 1-over-par 71 for his first county title at Duck Hollow. Mocello topped the field in the section qualifier at Cedarbrook Golf Course in firing a 1-under-par 71.

Mocello shot a three-under-par 69 under a torrential downpour in his final high school competition in the team semifinal. Mocello was the lone golfer to finish under par.
